OUR TEAM
ROADS2JOYA is a South London-based upholstery restoration, manufacturing, design and soft furnishing service. Established in 2011 to celebrate the craft of upholstery and beautifully hand-made things. Founded by Ayesha Sowani, an AMUSF taught craftsperson whose ethos and mission is honouring and representing the craft of upholstery to the highest degree. Where possible, our team uses traditional materials and skills to either restore or create new items of furniture. Sustainability is an important thought within our workshop and so, where possible, we will advise and guide our clients on choices and materials that are more ethical and sustainable.
Our small team consists of highly skilled artisans who will lovingly restore your furniture to its best possible shape. We also offer a Bespoke Manufacturing and Design service and work closely with designers across the U.K to bring to life their drawings and creativity. We take pride in offering a full service from prototype to small scale manufacturing of handmade luxury items.
At Roads2Joya we understand that collaboration is very important in creating the best work possible. We enjoy strong partnerships with furniture designers, interior designers, traditional craftspeople and modern craftspeople too. We have expanded our collaborations into restaurants, with many of the local Peckham eateries showcasing our upholstery.
We are also known for our highly skilled use of shearling and are one of Londons leading teams, with specialist tooling to handle this unique product and create beautiful pieces.
